Our Team

My name is Stacey, I am a level 3 certified Early Childhood Educator and the director of La Garderie CREFL. I started working at La Garderie CREFL in May of 2012.

I love having the opportunity to use the French language daily, and to be a part of this community. Creating relationships with the families we serve and getting to see so many of the children grow up even after they leave daycare when they attend Ecole la Verendrye (ELV) is my favourite part of working here.

I grew up in Terrace BC and moved to Lethbridge to attend Lethbridge College in 2010. I have 3 children who attend ELV, I love being outside with my family, walking my dog, gardening and trying new vegetarian recipes.

My name is Teena, I am a level 3 certified Early Childhood Educator. I have been working at La Garderie CREFL since October of 2015, and I have been working in the field since 1998.

I love creating relationships with the children and families in my room. I love watching the children create and explore. I also love the relationships I have created with my co-workers, we have so much fun!

I have two boys, 2 dogs, I love to read a good book, sit by the fire, go camping and cooking/baking as well!

My name is Chahrazad, I am a level 2 certified Early Childhood Educator. I have been working at La Garderie CREFL since September of 2009.

I love the relationships I have created with the children and staff at our center.

I am originally from Algeria. I have three children, I love walking, dancing and cooking. I enjoy trying out new recipes and feeding the people around me!

My name is Chelsey, I am a level 2 certified Early Childhood Educator. I have worked at La Garderie CREFL since November of 2017.

I love being able to work in a French centre that is within the community that I grew up in. I enjoy building relationships with the children, their families and the staff I work with.

I grew up in Lethbridge, I enjoy running and doing races. I like being outside with my dog, going to moyie lake and spending time with my family.

My name is Belyse, I am a level 2 certified Early Childhood Educator. I started working at La Garderie CREFL in March of 2023 after completing two practicum placements here.

I love that the center is a safe place for children to develop in a bilingual space. I also love the staff who are very friendly.

I am from East Africa, a country called Burundi. In my free time I like to go for walks and be outside with my family, I also love to travel with them.

My name is Sefika, I am a level 2 certified Early Childhood Educator. I worked at la Garderie CREFL as a substitute staff for a few years in 2018 and then started in the part time position in April of 2023. I enjoy  the friendly environment of the daycare center, the people I work with are so kind and knowledgeable.

I am also a parent, my older son was at the daycare when he was younger and now my youngest attends. The daycare has always been respectful of my culture and they listen to suggestions, I feel it is a very secure and mindful center.

I am originally form Turkey, I love reading, biking, cooking, home decoration, travelling, gardening and chatting with my friends.

My Name is Rus, I am a level 3 certified Early Childhood Educator with a bachelor of social work degree. I have been working at La Garderie CREFL since June 2023.

Even though I have just started here I am really impressed with the staff and culture at La Garderie CREFL. I have worked in daycares, preschools and kindergarten classes for several years and I love the knowledge and talents that the children can surprise you with. They grow up fast and it has been rewarding to feel like I have had some part in helping them in their progression.

I spent most of my young life in a small village between Red Deer and Stettler. I have 5 children of my own(ages 11 to 23!) I love to be outside and doing almost anything in nature, hiking, swimming, snorkeling, canoeing. I also love to travel, I have been fortunate enough to see a lot of north America and a bit of Europe and Asia as well. I’m also into anything creative like art, theatre and music.

My name is Emna, I am a level 1 certified Early Childhood Educator. I have been working at La Garderie CREFL since December 2023.

I enjoy the way we engage with children, in terms of playing and spending time with them, which allows us to introduce them to new things. I love helping them discover new skills by planning new activities. I feel we are a compatible work team.

I am from Tunisia, I love reading, sports, theatre and playing and spending time with children. I hope I can share some of my love for theatre with the children. 

My name is Hejer, and I am a level 1 certified Early Childhood Educator.

I like the team atmosphere that we have at the daycare, and I love working with and spending time with children. I appreciate that I’m learning new things every day at La Garderie CREFL.

I am from Tunisia. I love cooking, sports and eating. I love spending time with my children, and I love travelling. 

My name is Lyne, I am a level 1 certified Early Childhood Educator. I have also worked in the healthcare field. I have been working at La Garderie CREFL since January 2024.

I love that while working at this center, I get to share my native language with the children. I get to spend time enriching the children through play. I love being part of a French daycare center. I love spending time with my grandchildren, family and friends. I am an animal lover, I have a golden retriever and a few cats at home. I enjoy going for nature walks and camping by the lake and mountains.

I grew up by the St. Laurent close to Quebec City in a village called Riviere-Ouelle. As a child, I loved spending time by the water, having picnics, and watching the beautiful sunsets.
